Here are some highlights from Protix's recent studies on the black soldier fly, which we use in our dog food:

Insect protein from the black soldier fly emits nearly 7 times less carbon dioxide than soy protein.

Only 20 square meters and 14 days are needed to produce 1 ton of insects.

The black soldier fly is one of the most efficient "composting machines" in nature; they have a good appetite and rapidly break down biomass.

In Sweden, there is currently only one insect farm. That insect farm focuses on raising insects for use in human food. When we were in the startup phase of Dogsup, we engaged in a dialogue with them to explore possibilities, but the fact that they exclusively focus on insects for human consumption and do so on a very small scale made it clear for us to look further south on the continent. Both in the Netherlands and France, they are far ahead of Sweden in terms of research and the number of farms. In total, they have over a dozen farms, and we chose to work with one of the major players with extensive experience in using insects for dog food.

Eden is the perfect place for a full night out with friends and dogs. Start early by either taking a sauna or having a drink at the bar, proceed to the restaurant for dinner, and end the evening in 'Dungen' for dancing and live music.

The perfect place on a summer evening where there's something for everyone. How many places in Sweden combine good food, sauna, and live music? Not many that we know of!

In Lilla Blecktornsparken on Söder, you'll find Bleck. A lovely spot for dinner in the sun or drinks on their stairs. We love the small and medium-sized dishes that can be shared with others, which is what Bleck serves.
