Here are some highlights from Protix's recent studies on the black soldier fly, which we use in our dog food:

Insect protein from the black soldier fly emits nearly 7 times less carbon dioxide than soy protein.

Only 20 square meters and 14 days are needed to produce 1 ton of insects.

The black soldier fly is one of the most efficient "composting machines" in nature; they have a good appetite and rapidly break down biomass.

Autumn is approaching rapidly, and one starts looking forward to snuggling up on the couch with their furry friend and a cup of tea to watch a good movie. In today's message, we thought we'd recommend our favorite films where dogs play a central role :).

An adventure film set in Antarctica with Paul Walker in the lead role, which is about adventure, friendship, survival, and a group of tough Huskies.

 An animated film from 2016 that's about when the terrier Max's life is turned upside down after his owner adopts a new dog.

There have probably been a dozen Lassie films released over the years. Our favorite is the 1994 film. Cozy, delightful, and nostalgic.

Do you love Wes Anderson too? Then this is a film for you. A stop-motion film with a wonderful story about a boy searching for his lost dog.

In Sweden, there is currently only one insect farm. That insect farm focuses on raising insects for use in human food. When we were in the startup phase of Dogsup, we engaged in a dialogue with them to explore possibilities, but the fact that they exclusively focus on insects for human consumption and do so on a very small scale made it clear for us to look further south on the continent. Both in the Netherlands and France, they are far ahead of Sweden in terms of research and the number of farms.
